Onder de regenboog van het daltonplan

For a long time a great number of individual directions prevented following a common path in Austria. Only recently we succeeded in finding a common platform. Dalton Austria was founded in 2014 and we think a lot has happened since.

Course for Dalton Plan teachers

A very federalistic construction of the general association offers a wide range of activities to engaged collegues in all regions of the country. The work is based on the liberal principle that any improvement of teaching and school is an important contribution to a common development. Discussions and an approach to the principles of Dalton Plan are a permanent duty of reform pedagogy.
In collaboration with the Pädagogische Hochschulen (educational academies) a four semester lasting diploma course for Dalton Plan teachers was established, which is currently offered in three Federal Countries.
A parallel running ‘Dalton Club’ offers every student the additional possibility for reflection and inquiry. A close collaboration was set up between collegues and schools who align their work with the Dalton Plan.
Workshops and seminars are held in schools and educational academies.

Work for a place for children and teachers

In regular periods Dalton Austria meets in various parts of the country to be present on the spot. The audits, which lead to the Daltonschool Certificate are adapted to the guidelines of Dalton International.
We want to offer the best practical examples to Austrian collegues on hand of regularly planned educational trips to Holland. There is no better way of making life with Dalton Plan understood than showing living examples. A special thank you to Holland! We think it is a superb development which encourages Austria to work for a place for children and teachers under the ‘rainbow of Dalton Plan’ where they are happy and content learning with and from each other.
